What you can see
For most visitors the main interest will be Venice. It takes 10 minutes to drive to Mogliano railway station which has free twenty-four hour parking. There are frequent trains to Venice centre with a 20 minutes travel time into the city.
The house is also a good starting point to visit Treviso and Padova with many fine medieval buildings and churches. Treviso is cozy and quiet; Padova has the Santo Basilica, Giotto's frescoes of Scrovegni, the Palazzo della Ragione and shopping arcades dating back to 12th century. The arcades host a wide variety of shops selling sweets, shoes, jewels, bags …
Within a day's drive there are quite a few walled cities and venetian villas—Google Cittadella, Montagnana, Villa Pisani Strà , Riviera del Brenta to learn more about these options. In a couple of hours drive you can also reach Lake Garda, Verona (the setting for Romeo & Juliete's), The Dolomites, as well as Jesolo and The Caorle coast.
There are two excellent Golf Clubs nearby: Golf Club Ca' della Nave in Martellago and Villa Condulmer in Mogliano. A Swimming pool, tennis court and riding centres are also a few minutes away. We will be happy to help you plan day-visits to places of interest.
